Jean A. Pollok

Mason, MI

Jean Adeline Pollok went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born on March 13, 1926 in Lansing, MI to Byron M. and Nellie A. (Cross) Soules.

Jean retired December 1986 from Okemos Public Schools as Food Service Director. She was president of the Michigan School Food Service from 1978 to 1979. She was always involved in church activities especially with children and music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall in 2010; brothers, Austin and Warren Soules; brother-in-law, Lee Kilpatrick; sisters-in-law, Olive Soules, Lola Soules, and Norma Soules; great-granddaughter, Kristen Mahon.

Surviving are 2 sons, Louie (Nancy) Pollok of Lansing and Jim (Darlene) Pollok of Mason; one daughter, Sue (Dan) Ware of Mason; sister, Catherine Kilpatrick; 7 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Eden United Brethren Church, 1938 Eden Road, Mason, MI 48854 with Pastor Gerald Garcia officiating. Interment immediately following in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason, MI. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
