Joan passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 20, 1951, in Lansing, MI to Leon J. and Catherine E. (VanAcker) Miller. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with her family going camping, cooking, singing and making scrapbook memories. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and one brother. Surviving are her husband Dale; 2 daughters, Shelly (Rich) Grandy and Angela (Brandon); son, Dale (Alice); 7 grandchildren; brother, John Miller; and 2 sisters, Janette (Ken) Cobb and June (Clarence) Clark. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854 with interment immediately following in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 6-8 PM and Sunday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
