John L. Ambler

John L. Ambler, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2016. He was born in Lansing, MI to Adrian and Florean (Slee) Ambler on October 17, 1937, and spent much of his life in the Leslie and Mason areas. John retired from Spartan Plastics in Holt after 25 years of service. He was an avid fisherman who also loved to golf, hunt, and most of all, spend time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, his granddaughter, Ava Rose Chapman, his companion, Joyce Ambler, his brother, Robert Ambler, and his mother, Florean Ambler.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Rebecca (David) Shuler and Cheryl (Steven) Chapman; his grandkids, David and Corbin Shuler, Grace Chapman; his father, Adrian Ambler; and his siblings, Joann Nowlin, Adrian (Rose) Ambler Jr., Jackie (Clarence) Whittemore, and Gene Ambler.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 12:00pm at Eden United Brethren Church, 1938 Eden Rd., Mason. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8 from 5pm to 8pm at the church, and again one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Leslie.
