Joyce Elaine Williams was born January 30, 1939 to George and Luella (Thurston) Robinson in Sturgis, Michigan. She was 74 years old. She graduated from Williamston High School in 1957. Elaine worked at MSU and retired in 2000 after 30 years. She was recipient of the Jack Breslin Distinguished Staff Award in 1991. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Douglas; daughters, Heidi (Michelle) of Bath, MI., Heather (Chris) of St. Paul, Minnesota; nephews, Dan (Karen) Simon of Fowler and Randy of Westphalia; brother, Tom Robinson of North Carolina and sister-in-law, Sandy Robinson of Florida and a very special friend, Ms. Gail Rayman of Battle Creek, MI.
A celebration of her life will be held on November 23, 2013 from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. at Edgewood United Church, 469 North Hagadorn Rd., East Lansing, MI.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sparrow Hospice or to the Wounded Warrior Program.
