Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Grace Slagenwhite; brother, Jim Slagenwhite; and sister-in-law, Rosie Slagenwhite.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Bill (Heidi) Parsons Jr. and Toby (Jill) Parsons; her grandchildren, Colton Parsons, Cassidy Parsons and Brady Mikula; her brothers, Bill Slagenwhite and Larry (Sue) Slagenwhite, many loving nieces, nephews and relatives, and many friends.
Kathy was born on January 31, 1950 to her parents, Cecil and Grace Slagenwhite. She was born and raised in Ypsilanti, MI. As an adult she was a long-time resident of Mason, MI where she raised her family, worked at the Ingham County ISD for 30 years, and had an active social life. She lived her later years at Pinecrest Village in Mackinaw City, MI.
Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, September 22 from 12-1p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S Jefferson St, Mason, MI 48854, immediately followed by a memorial service celebrating Kathy’s life at 1p.m. also at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
