Marlene Y. Graham

Marlene Yvonne Graham, age 78, went to her heavenly home July 28, 2011. She was born December 3, 1932 in Vandercook Lake, MI to Ralph and Loreen (Laxton) Fickes. Marlene was an active member of Charity Baptist Church where she was involved in the choir, Print Ministries and cooked meals for church members who were temporarily unable to cook for themselves. She was a gifted cake decorator, enjoyed gardening, canning, loved to laugh, and play jokes on others. Marlene always kept a positive outlook on life.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eric; parents; and step-father, Eldred Harkness.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Roland; 2 daughters, Jenelle (Mark) Wedley and Rashelle (Mike) Hosh; 3 sons, Kirk (Theresa), Stace, and Yon (Angel); 8 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Gordon (Frances) Fickes.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011, at Charity Baptist Church, 2899 Holt Road, Mason, MI 48854, with Dr. Donald O. Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, MI. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10-11:00 a.m.
