A Pacific Ocean World War II Navy Veteran, he served on the USS aircraft carrier, the Nassau (CVE16).
He enjoyed traveling around the country, leisure activities, including building and collecting model trains. Bob loved to golf and fish. He loved cracking jokes to make people laugh.
Bob retired from Fisher Body after 30 years.
Just before high school graduation he was drafted and never was able to receive his diploma. In 1978 he put on his cap and gown and was awarded his diploma with that graduating class.
Per Bob's request, cremation has taken place.
