Ruthann (Robbins) Rice

Ruthann (Robbins) Rice, age 68, retired USPS Rural Carrier, died April 17, 2011. She was born June 2, 1942, in Mason, MI to Earl and Nellie Robbins. Ruthann was raised on her family’s farm in Mason. She was a Country Squires 4-H Club Leader and Co-Community Leader for 14 years; rural carrier for Mason Post Office over 21 years; housewife and travel buddy; graduate of Dansville Agricultural School (1960); and member of the Felt Plains United Methodist Church. She was passionate about her music, family and friends. Her hobbies included singing, playing the piano and enjoying her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Robbins. Surviving are her loving husband and travel partner of 47 years, Lynn F. Rice; 3 children, Steven of Mason, Charles (Anissa) of Eaton Rapids, James (Dorinda) of Owings, MD; 6 grandchildren, Emily, Foster, Halen, Griffon, Ryan and Rachel Rice; and sister, Doris Robbins of Mason.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Felt Plains United Methodist Church, 3523 Meridian Road, Leslie, MI, with the Rev. Donald L. Buege officiating. The family will received friends Wednesday at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
