Susan Mae Sheffer

Susan Mae Sheffer, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2022. She was born in Tompkins Twp., Michigan to Louis and Emma (Reed) Hobbins on April 14, 1929. Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Sheffer; parents, her son-in-law, Tom Peterson, and 2 brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda Peterson and Julie (Greg) Fay; her son David (Lori) Sheffer; her 7 grandchildren and her 16 great-grandchildren. Susan spent her final years at Green Acres in Mason, MI where she passed away. She loved her home at Green Acres and was lovingly taken care of by everyone there and by Careline Hospice. She loved her family and friends very much. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Mason First Presbyterian Church, 131 E. Maple St., Mason, MI. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Mason First Presbyterian Church.
