

Teresa (Ranshaw) Blanford of Lansing, formerly of Holt, age 56, passed away at home under the loving care of her family and hospice on January 14, 2016. She was born on June 19, 1959, in Lansing the daughter of Lowell and Carrol (Brace) Ranshaw. Teresa was a certified master gardener. She was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Teresa had a passion for orchids and loved playing keno. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; step father, Jerry Hanner and infant son, Evin McCabe. Surviving are her son, James (Shannon Gonser) Ranshaw; 2 grandsons, Dylan Ranshaw and Ramon Rodriguez; her mother Carrol Hanner; step mother, Carolyn Ranshaw; two sisters, Pam (Doug) Johnson and Gail (Mary Sanchez) Ranshaw; one niece, Jamie Davis ; two nephews, Troy Huddleson and Lawrence Zamarron; one great niece; two great nephews; her beloved pets, Sophie, Ashley, Millie and Candy; and many close friends. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Teresa’s life will be held at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI, on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Frank Weller of South Lansing Christian Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
