William "Lange" Somerville

Lange Somerville was born October 17, 1939, in Mason, the son of the late Palen (PJ) and Millie Somerville and went to walk with his Lord on February 10, 2016, at the age of 76. Lange was a son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He graduated from Mason High School in 1958, worked at Platte Implement, Robinson Cadillac, Wyeth Laboratories, and was a retired Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder for the Plumber & Pipefitters UA Local 333 in Lansing. He was an active member of the Michigan Steam Engine and Threshers Club for 44 years where he shared the love of this hobby with many dear friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Jane (Allen) Somerville; his sons, Scott (Roberta) Somerville, Tim (Jodi) Somerville; grandchildren, Danielle and Dale Somerville, and Jakob and Emily Somerville; his brothers and sister, Jack (Sharon) Somerville, Larry Somerville, JoAnn (Robert) Caltrider; mother-in-law, L. Louise Allen; sister-in-law, Jan Jordan, brothers-in-law; Gene (Linda) Allen and Jo Allen, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at Mason First Presbyterian Church, 131 E. Maple St., Mason, with Pastor Bill Pinches officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Steam Engine & Threshers Club, 638 N.
