Bonnie Ann Metyk

Bonnie Ann Metyk (Beukeman) devoted her life to love, kindness, and the simple beauty found in everyday moments. She was the beloved wife of Dale for 53 years, the cherished mother of Matthew and Evan (Jennifer), and the proud and devoted grandmother of Kandace, Madelyn, Canessa, and Zenon. She was the dear sister of John Beukman (Frances), both deceased, Robert Beukman (Linda), and Bette Slowther (Terry).

Bonnie had a deep love for nature and found her greatest peace outdoors. She volunteered for many years with the Geauga County Parks, especially the children’s program Timber Totes, where her warmth and enthusiasm helped young learners discover the magic of the natural world. Bonnie had an incredible gift with children and cared deeply about their happiness, health, and futures. Her heart for kids was one of the many reasons she held St. Jude Children’s Hospital so close to her soul.

Her compassion extended to all living creatures. Bonnie was an active pet sitter, a lifelong supporter of animal causes, and an advocate for their protection and well-being. She cared for every animal as if it were part of her own family.

Music was another gift she shared generously. As a member of the Sweet Adelines, Bonnie’s beautiful singing voice brought joy to many. She carried a song in her heart throughout her life, using her voice to uplift, comfort, and inspire those around her.

Bonnie was a gentle, spiritual soul who lived with gratitude and presence. She truly took time to smell the roses, to appreciate small wonders, and to remind others to slow down and savor life. Her sense of humor, her warmth, and her capacity for kindness made her an extraordinary mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. Anyone blessed to know her felt her love every single day.

Services are private, and a celebration of her beautiful life will be held in the spring. For those who wish, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in honor of Bonnie’s lifelong love of children.
