Charles E. Weaver Sr.

CHARLES E. WEAVER, Sr. March 12, 1935 - May 30, 2019. Son of Russell and Edna (Messer) Weaver he grew up in the coal mining town of Burnwell WVA and moved to Cleveland after marrying. Dad began working for a family owned business, Ellison and Associates, later to become Kellison and Company, and would remain with them until he officially retired in April of 2019 at the age of 84 after 53 years. Our family would like to thank the Ellisons for their loyalty to our father. He believed in commitment, hard work, loyalty, helping others and building and maintaining relationships. He made it a point to get in touch and stay in touch with family and friends and be involved in the lives of his children and grandsons and supporting them in their lives’ adventures. As a member of the Church of Christ of Forest Hills Dad enjoyed participating in church events and programs, helping at church services and Sunday evening pot luck gatherings where he participated in theological discussion. He made himself available to help others – taking a child to the movies or a baseball game, driving friends to the store, watching a neighbor’s house and even helping strangers. As an avid Notre Dame football fan he loved to attend games and share the excitement of the game with friends and family. Dad enjoyed camping in his RV trailer in Pennsylvania, talking with friends, buying lottery tickets and baking sweets. Former husband of Lenora Weaver he is survived by his 3 children Sherry Reed (David), Charles Jr (Ann), Gregory (Maureen), 5 grandsons CJ (Kelly) Weaver, Matt (Kim) Reed, Mike (Taylor) Reed, Joshua (Rachel) Weaver, and Randon Weaver, 2 great grandsons Ryson Weaver, Michael Reed, and a soon-to-arrive great grandson Ryan Reed. We and all who knew him are richer for having been touched by his life. Funeral service 7 pm Monday June 3 at THE DiCICCO AND SONS FUNERAL HOME 5975 MAYFIELD RD. MAYFIELD HTS. (at Lander Rd.)
