CORINE CHIARUCCI (nee Scott) age 88. Beloved wife of Vincent for 61 years. Loving mother of Regina Chiarucci (Kevin O'Brien), Ann O'Brien (Robert), Kathleen Gonzalez (Jose), and Elizabeth Morgan (Timothy). Devoted Nonny to Kara and William O'Brien, Robert, Kathleen and Sara O'Brien, and Clara and Julia Morgan. Dearest sister to Victor Scott (deceased), Eugene Scott (deceased), Lawrence Scott (deceased), Weda Scott and Emma Stoll and cherished aunt to many. Corine will be remembered for her kindness, intelligence, generosity, loving and intuitive nature as well as the energy she devoted to her family, bustling through the busy days of raising four spirited daughters. While she embraced the traditional roles of wife and mother, she was also ahead of her time in her belief that girls must be independent and educated and she gave her daughters the gift of an upbringing focused on the life of the mind and heart. She and Vince had a true partnership and together held perfectly complementary skills and talents that helped to build a loving family and his successful career. She was inclusive in spirit and always found a way to put visitors to their home at ease. As the child of Italian immigrant parents, she appreciated the opportunities available in the United States and was grounded in Catholic faith and family. She had an innate sense of style that was further honed by her early career in high-end retail in her native Canton, Ohio. All who benefited from her shopping savvy know that throughout her life she enjoyed the art of finding the "bargain." In later life she found something even better than motherhood -- being Nonny to her seven grandchildren. While travelling the world with her beloved Vince she was always open to new cultural experiences and believed in the value of travel to expose her children and grandchildren to worlds outside of their own.
