Corrine (“Corky”) was a fierce and unwavering supporter of her family, especially her children. She was their greatest champion and a steady source of strength and encouragement.
Corky lost her husband, Mike, in 2017, after 64 years marriage. Mike was the love of her life and her rock. Yet, she soldiered on after he passed, demonstrating her personal fortitude and independence.
She loved playing the accordion, sometimes accompanied by husband Mike on the harmonica. She brought smiles, laughter and happiness to all of us.
To say that Corky could be feisty is an understatement. She had strong convictions and principles and a powerful work ethic. But at the same time, she was kind, thoughtful, generous and always willing to help family, friends and most anyone in need.
She found joy in life’s simplest moments: time spent with family, laughter shared around the table, and the cheerful happy hour ritual of her vodka martini, enjoyed for many decades with husband Mike.
Corky is survived by sons Michael (Anne), James (Beth), Jay (Angela) and daughter Cara Kirtley (Barry); grandchildren Erika Ranallo (Rodger),Brittany Krepshaw (Lucas), Brooke Potter (Dan), Marisa Copley (Nate), Noah Wood, Michael Ranallo (Tori) and Dylan Wood; and great grandchildren Rocco, Brody, Sophia, Reese, Nathaniel, Mia, Reina, Easton and Oliver. As mentioned
above, Corky was preceded in death by her dear husband of 64 years, Michael L. Ranallo, and sister Audrey Jameson (Donald, deceased). She was aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
