Born in Cleveland, David grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where he attended both grade school and high school. He went on to earn a degree in electrical engineering through the University of Cincinnati’s cooperative education program. While there, he met Cindy, and they married in 1978. Through his hard work, craftsmanship, and ingenuity, he built a strong foundation for the success and happiness of his family. After gaining experience with several corporations, David founded his own business, which he successfully grew and operated for many years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia (Cook) Graneto, and by his parents, Dr. Donald and Virginia Graneto.
David is survived by his four children — Dr. Donald Graneto, Colleen Graneto, Michelle Graneto, and Adam Graneto — and by his siblings, Dr. James Graneto, Dr. John Graneto, and Donna Jones.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral or memorial service. DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home in Mayfield Heights will be handling cremation arrangements. The immediate family will gather privately to spread his ashes later this spring.
