So Sorry to hear of David's passing.  

Many good memories playing baseball in the backyard, camping out, listening to music and going to Cleveland State.

Dave was our Dear Friend who we shared many good times, laughs and meals with (at the Old Angle or when we grilled out). We were never short on conversation - books, PBS, music, theatre, sports… He was there when we needed assistance with snow removal, and leaf raking - enjoying the garden the whole time.
When it was time to part, he’d shake Alan’s hand warmly and give him a hug. Then he’d bend his very tall frame and wrap me in a great BIG HUG. “Love you guys,” he’d say. We love you too, Dave.

It brings peace to my heart to know David had friends who truly cared about him.   Thank you. 

Uncle David, I remember going up to your room at grandpa and grandma's at christmas and playing computer games on your computer. I remember going to the cabin with you and mom one summer and floating down the river, so much fun. You were also the first person to show me how to eat whoppers out of the milk carton style container they came in ( just pour them in your mouth)!! I don't remember much of my boot camp graduation as I was in a complete daze and just scared of screwing up during the ceremony, but I remember thinking that you were there was super cool. It meant a lot that you got to meet my boys at Alyssa's during 2015 christmas.
 Uncle David just know that no matter what was going on you are loved and missed and will never be forgotten. I wish I could sit with you one more time and talk, I know that I can't do that so till we meet give Grandma and Grandpa a big hug for me and know we are happy that you are no longer in pain and can move on from whatever pain was holding you back here in this material world. Fair winds and following seas, with all are love.

To me Uncle David was the artsy, eclectic one in the family. The guy who would always introduce that slightly 
unusual but always delicious dish at holiday gatherings, the one who would travel all the way downtown to the fish 
market just to pick up some fresh mussels to share. The guy who introduced the idea of deep frying a turkey at Thanksgiving and while it was almost a disaster he still 
managed to pull off one of the best birds I have ever tasted. He introduced me to different musical groups, one 
of which was Morcheeba still a favorite today. He entertained my dreams of wanting to be a world class figure skater, (in my pre-horse years), by taking me downtown to meet his fellow dancers and explaining the connection between ballet and skating. Once my focus had shifted to horses he kept Grandma company on a trip 
to Iowa and loyally stood ringside while I rode round and round and round. 
It didn’t matter which dream I was pursuing, he always supported them, giving me the “thumbs up” and “why 
not, go for it” attitude. This is the Uncle David I knew and the one I will always hold dear in my heart.


Dave meant a lot to me. We were part of the first post-covid Workforce Program class at the WSCC. Being the only two people that continued our searches together in the upstairs rooms. Managed to get him an interview with Paula to bring him into the Fulton House. He was the first person I managed to personally get a laptop from PCs for People at no charge. We stuck it thru together and stayed in touch when things got better. Inviting me to the Old Angle Tavern for games of backgammon. I should have known something was wrong when he didn’t respond to my holiday text messages. He was a good guy and I’m going to miss him dearly.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dave.  He hung around with us for a while back in 20-21 at the Catholic Worker. Cooked us great meals and helped us out with our Storefront mural restoration.  I'll miss seeing you at the Angle Dave.
