As we remember Frank James Bohus, we can’t help but think of him as a lighthouse for our family. Just as a lighthouse guides lost sailors through rough waters; Frank was our guiding beacon. We could always trust him to help navigate us safely through the chaos of this world.
Frank was born to William and Dorothy (Curran) Bohus on August 12, 1936, and was the younger brother to Dorothy, known to all as “Sis” Zelenak. On Friday, February 20, 2026, he took his last breath at 8:36 a.m. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Sandy, who has been patiently waiting for him in heaven since October 2015, as well as his firstborn son, William Dale Bohus, who passed away as an infant in 1965.
He leaves behind his loving daughters, Barbara Kelly (Patrick) and Susan Konecek (Frank), as well as his grandchildren: Shannon (Lauren), Erin (Katie), Danny, and Samantha, and his great-grandson, Dexter.
Frank had an incredible depth of knowledge when it came to health and natural healing. He was always ready to share his wisdom about what to eat or take to help heal the body naturally. He generously imparted his knowledge to anyone who asked — and sometimes even to those who didn’t. His goal was always to help others become better in all aspects of life.
In times of uncertainty, we can tap into our memories and ask ourselves, “What would Frank do?” His guidance will continue to light our way in both great and small moments.
Anyone who knew Frank was truly privileged. Those who caught a glimpse of his warm smile and the twinkle in his deep blue eyes will never forget the joy and love he radiated. Our lives are forever changed without him, but the lessons and love he gave us will live on forever. He will be deeply missed. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
