

Father of Adam Kaiser, Lisa Kaiser, Joslin Phillibert, Andrea Carmosino and Benjamin Kaiser. Grandfather of Nina Kaiser, Emily Kaiser, Heath Phillibert, Jade Carmosino, Maya Carmosino dand Lucas Carmosino. Uncle of Kimberly and Michael Jeager. A 3rd generation Clevelander, John has two surviving sisters; JoAnn Kaiser and Karen Metrolis. He is predeceased by his beloved cousin and friend, Bill Canfield. John is also survived by Donna Hurst and Linda Reiches who shared significant parts of his spirited life. John attended Baldwin Wallace College and then joined the U.S. Foreign Service. While stationed in Palermo, Sicily John met Maria Waddington from Kentville, Nova Scotia. They soon wed and started their adventuresome life together, first in Bradenton, Florida and then in Cleveland, Ohio where they raised an active, vibrant family. John received his Master’s degree in education from Case Western Reserve. He was a teacher throughout his life, instilling curiosity, creativity, physical fitness, love of learning and travel in all his children. John/Dad was an extraordinary abstract artist whose beautiful hands created roomfuls of colorful wood sculptures. With highly polished painted surfaces comprised of meticulously carved elements, he constructed an astonishing body of work. Entirely self-‐taught, his art came from his core.
