Laurette "Laurie" Jean Evangelista

May 7, 1961 - March 11, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Laurie Evangelista (nee Lamphear) 63, who went on to be with the Lord on March 11th, 2025, due to sudden cardiac arrest.

Laurie, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished family member, is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mark Evangelista Jr., son Mark Evangelista III, daughter Christina Evangelista, her mother-in-law Angela Evangelista, brother-in-law David Evangelista, and nephew Anthony Evangelista.

Laurie was born in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Rev. Richard and Gloria Lamphear. The first of six children, she is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Lesa Phelps (Greg), Richard Lamphear, Julie Grainger, Steven Lamphear (Jeanie), and Philip Lamphear (Karrie), along with her nieces and nephews, who were always close to her heart.

In 2022, Laurie moved with her husband and son to Leesburg, Florida, where she became an active member of the Italian Club of Tampa and the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Amerigo Vespucci Lodge in Leesburg—embracing her husband’s Italian heritage as her own, and the Pontoon Yacht Club of Lake County, Florida.

A viewing will be held at DiCICCO & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 5975 MAYFIELD RD. MAYFIELD HTS. OH. 44124, on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday March 21, at Christian Assembly of God, 25595 Chardon Road, Richmond Heights, OH 44143, at 10:30 AM. (Please Meet at Church) Following the service Laurie will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
