Lloyd Parks Sr. was born in 1936 in North Carolina to Roger W. and Hettie B. Parks. He moved to Ohio after high school. He married Ruth in 1958. From that union, three children were born, Angela, Lisa, and Lloyd Jr., who preceded him in death. Lloyd studied the bible with George Rice, and dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized on September 17, 1972 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Lloyd enjoyed preaching and teaching and served for many years as a ministerial servant and an elder in several congregations. He worked as a Chef, a Furnace Tender, a Spot Welder and a Tow Motor Driver until he retired in 1998. Lloyd didn’t feel that he had worked enough so became a School Bus Driver until he retired again in 2006. Lloyd was a multi-talented man that found joy in working with his hands. He could take anything apart and rebuild it. He especially loved restoring vehicles to showroom condition. Also, he loved preparing food and serving others. His ribs, salmon & eggs, apple dumplings, and his specialty, homemade pancakes, were enjoyed by all. Although he succumbed to his illness on December 13, 2021, Lloyd looked forward to the fulfillment of Revelation 21:3,4 when death and pain will cease to exist. He leaves to mourn a loving wife, Ruth, two daughters, Angela L. (Mark), Lisa S. (Andre), one daughter-in-law, Sheila, one sister, Minerva, one brother-in-law, William, six grandchildren, Kiuani L., Kamelle L. King, Nacole L., Malcom D., David C., Nikeyta S., thirteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and over eight million Christian brothers & sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Hettie, as well as his brothers, Leon, Roger, Cliff, and Floyd.
