Kim and I worked together toward the end of her career, and I always valued her direct, honest demeanor. She taught so much—not through words alone, but through the way she worked, with meticulous attention to detail and balanced coverage. Despite being a hard-nosed journalist at heart, I always smiled at how much she enjoyed reporting on the annual pumpkin roll in Chagrin—a reflection of her deep love for her community. Yet, I sensed her greatest devotion was to her mother, whom she spoke of often. There’s comfort in imagining them together now, watching over us.

I'm sure Kim will light up Heaven as she did in the newsrooms here. Kim was a dedicated journalist and a great friend. She will be missed.

Kim was a wonderful colleague and dear friend I worked with at Channel 3.
She, myself and Dick Russ sat together in  a self-declared  “mature” corner of the newsroom.
We shared jokes, memories and cultural references  that  younger staffers didn’t get.
Kim slept, ate and breathed news… always wanting to report and post a story first… but only if it was right. 
She and I loved  to speculate on the choices, moves and decisions made by local politicians and officeholders.
She genuinely cared about coworkers’ health , families and  mental wellness.
I wish we  stayed in touch more after we both retired.
A dedicated  reporter and  first-class person…. she  is appreciated and will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Kim’s passing. I knew her many years ago through mutual friends, and even after life shifted and those friendships changed, Kim and I remained friends.
Her brilliant mind—no surprise to anyone who knew she was a member of Mensa—shone through in her quick wit and thoughtful conversations.
I still smile remembering that she was the only person I knew whose soup cans were arranged in alphabetical order. Her unique blend of humor, intelligence, and thoughtful charm was so Kim.
She loved Chagrin Falls deeply and was woven into the very fabric of the community. I have many fond memories of her Blossom Time gatherings, enjoying the company of her family and friends as the parade passed by her home. She was always kind, helpful, and endlessly patient, especially the time she took me, a novice golfer, under her wing at Sleepy Hollow.
Back then, she was also the devoted “pet mom” to Abby and Casey—two very lucky dogs. Someone once joked that if they could come back in another life, they’d want to return as one of Kim’s pups, as they knew they would be well-loved.
Although we drifted apart over the years, I still felt connected through the fun, topical and insightful posts she shared on Facebook. 
Kim was a bright light, and I am grateful to have known her. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.

I met Kim when she was a reporter and I was a police officer in Chagrin. She was a pitbull reporter and after some skirmishes, we gained respect for each other and as time went on, we became friends. She called me the voice of the valley due to my radio like voice, I guess. Actually, the first time I met her was on Halloween when I complimented her Halloween costume and she told me it wasn’t a costume, that it was her regular clothes for the evening! Boy, was I embarrassed! She never let me live it down. 
When I retired I’d visit with her at Starbucks here and there and we’d  talk on the phone often. 
During the last few years we didn’t talk much until I called her about a year ago. 
I’m very saddened to hear of her passing. I wish I would have kept in touch with her much more. 
I hope God is holding you tight, Kim.  Rest in peace.

This picture that Kim used for her Facebook page is one I snapped one day and sent to her. She apparently loved it, and I think it so aptly represents Kim. When she worked for the local paper (Sun?) and I was on Village Council, she always treated me fairly, and kindly at that. She's responsible for a couple of headline stories on my family and I moving to Minnesota then back to Chagrin, and buying our old house back. We'll miss you Kim.

What is there to say about Kim? How can you put into words the loss of a friendship of over 50 years. She was there at our wedding, the Bar Mitzvah of our son and always in our hearts. Your memory is a blessing. Rest in peace, sweet Kim. Sending much love, Cheryl, Fran, and Matthew.

To the Erb Family - May God bless you and assuage you of the loss of Kim, a wonderful woman inside and out and one of the most honest, sincere, fair, and knowledgable journalists. Her professionalism was renown, and sincerity shown through in all that she did. At work, and off, she was smart, funny, lovable and just a genuinely great human being. So many fond memories of Kim , she was one of a kind and truly a treasure to all who really knew her. May her memory be eternal, she made a difference in the lives of many.

Kim was a force of nature. She was among the first I met when I moved to Chagrin in 1985. She was thoughtful, kind and one of the quickest wits I’ve ever met. She loved dogs, Notre Dame and, most importantly, truth. I will cherish her memory always. I send my deepest condolences to her family whom she loved with a passion.

You will be "Sweet Kim" to me and countless friends from Notre Dame and St. Mary's College. I am grateful for your kindness and generous heart. You will be missed something fierce.
