ROBERT D. QUAIL age 71, died September 28, 2013. Robert was born in 1942 in Merrill, Wisconsin. He was the son of Rev. M.H. Quail and Louise Quail of Merrill and Wausau Wisconsin. He is survived by brothers Donald of Houston, Texas, Richard of St. Paul, Minnesota, and sister Eileen Klayman of University Heights, Ohio. Robert graduated from Merrill Senior High school in 1960. He graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Physics in 1964 and an M.A.T. in Physics in 1966. He then taught physics at Cleveland Heights/University Heights High School from 1966-1996. Robert was a member of the Cleveland Hts. Teachers Union Local 795 and a member of the Cleveland Teachers Union 279 R. He was also a member of the Northeast Ohio Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). Robert enjoyed doing physics problems. From 1990 until his death he calculated the orbit of Mars and the Earth-Sun distance from photographic data. Online condolences www.diciccoandsonsfh.com .
