I was shocked to learn that Romie had past away. She was one of the kindest and most generous people that I have ever known. I was so happy to have "found" her again after so many years and regret that we didn't have more time to catch up. I loved having her in art class at MHS and was glad that she followed her passions for art and working with children after graduation. John, my heart goes out to you. Romie will be greatly missed!!! John  and all who knew and loved Romie -- I am so sorry for your loss.  Romie was a caring soul with whom I had the pleasure to meet through youth ministry in the Diocese of Cleveland in the early 90's.  She was loyal and kind, and kept in touch with me through the years as I moved to Florida, Georgia, and back to Ohio.  She will be truly missed. Romie was an unusually loving and caring person. As her art teacher at Ursuline College I remember her many acts of kindness to so many—celebrating every one's birthday with a cake she baked herself was just one of them. God's goodness radiated from her smiling eyes and gentle demeanor. She was courageous in facing life's challenges and gave hope to others. Thank you, God, for giving us Romie for a little while.
