June 23, 1948 - January 26, 2026
Rosemary DiPietro passed away Monday, 1/26/2026, after several years of escalating medical issues. Her parents were Anthony DiPietro & Theresa (Priola) DiPietro (both deceased). Rosemary is survived by her brothers, Anthony DiPietro Jr. (Elvira) and Joseph DiPietro, along with nieces/nephews Anthony DiPietro III, Joseph DiPietro Jr. (Nicole), Dean DiPietro (Cecilia), Nicholas DiPietro (Lauren), Samantha DiPietro (Vincent Pugliese) and great nieces/nephews Jackson, Gwendolyn, Gabriella, Dominic, Anthony, & Elio.
Rosemary held family dearest in her heart. Dozens of cousins, their families and their children held a special place for her. She always spread her love, happy spirit and genuine care to all, connecting especially with the children. A woman whose heart was bigger than her Yo-Yo collection, “RoRo” as she was affectionately known to them, instilled joy, happiness and a silly spirit in them, telling tales of a fictional twin sister (OrOr from Orrville), insisting her true age to be “103”, mailing them $2 bills on holidays, or simply slipping them a piece of Bazooka Joe bubble gum while their parents weren’t looking. Anything to put a smile on their faces.
Ro’s friends and comares were so very important to her, always going out of her way to support them at every turn, emotionally or financially when able. She supplemented some of that generosity from her occasional casino trips and lottery tickets! She had limitless compassion and genuine love for people.
Rosemary grew up in the Collinwood community, attended Holy Redeemer School, Villa Angela Academy and Villa Walsh College (NJ). Teaching children was her loving vocation, retiring after many years as a Principal and teacher at several Catholic Elementary schools, including Holy Redeemer, Holy Rosary, St. John Cantius and Immaculate Conception. She immersed herself in the communities where she served, offering kindness, charity, counseling and joy to all. Ro’s many friends in the religious life and teaching profession are certain to recognize her inspirational example of a loving spirit.
Ro’s memory will be forever with us. We love you Ro!
