YEVGENIYA ARSHAKOVNA ADUNTS, 89, passed away March 5, 2026. She was born January 13th, 1937, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to an Armenian family. Yevgeniya was the beloved daughter of Arshak Safarov and Lyusya Safarova. She shared a life long, close bond with her sister Raisa and brothers Ashot and Levon. Yevgeniya dedicated her life to serving others, both in work and in personal life. She worked as a restaurant manager in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and when she moved to US in 1993, she stayed in hospitality industry and worked for many years in a hotel. Above all else, Yevgeniya loved and treasured her family. She was a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a caring sister. Nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by those she loved. Her passion and joy was to cook Armenian and Uzbeki dishes for her family, have a party and dance to Armenian music. And no party would be complete without her also serving generous portions of her unvarnished opinions, plain spoken advice for the younger generation and funny stories from her life. Yevgeniya will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Sergo and his wife Elmira, and Albert and his wife Natalie; her four cherished grandchildren, her nephews, and great-nephews and great-nieces.
