He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, soulmate, and best friend of 45 years, Joanne, as well as his children, Michelle (Stephen) Cohen and Brian (Nicole) Goldmeier. Barry was the proud and cherished grandfather of Emily and Alexis Cohen and Benjamin Goldmeier. He is also survived by his brother, Lee Goldmeier, and sister-in-law, Ilene Goldmeier, along with many beloved nephews and cousins.
Barry will be remembered as a man of immense strength, resilience, keen intellect, and
unwavering wisdom. He left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and steady guidance were a constant source of support for his family, friends, and community.
A true pillar of his community, Barry cultivated a wide and loyal circle of friends who deeply respected and loved him. Known for his willingness to help others, his legacy of friendship, generosity, and strength will be cherished for years to come.
In addition to being a successful and highly respected real estate developer, Barry had many passions that enriched his life and those around him. He was an avid photographer with a remarkable eye for capturing the beauty in everyday moments. He loved to travel, savor fine dining, spend time boating, and cheer on his beloved Miami Dolphins. Whether exploring faraway places, enjoying a delicious meal with loved ones, or soaking in the serenity of the water, Barry approached each experience with joy, enthusiasm, and an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Above all, Barry’s greatest joy came from his family. His devotion to Joanne, Michelle, Brian, and his grandchildren was the heart of his life. Family meant everything to him, and he made every gathering, every conversation, and every shared moment feel special. His legacy of love and kindness lives on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private service and burial were held in his honor.
