Betty Alcon Glickman passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 21 at the age of 90. Born December 8, 1925 in Havana, Cuba, Betty moved to New York at the age of 7, where 12 years later she would meet the love of her life, husband of 71 years, Morris "Moe" Glickman. Betty and Moe moved to Miami, FL in 1957. Betty was a homemaker, and after her children were grown, she became a real estate agent and broker. Betty was active in the Miami branch of the Haddassah.
Betty and Moe moved to Mystic Pointe in Aventura in 1991, where she was socially active with the couple's many friends. She was matriarch of a very large family and lived for the special times she shared with them. She was also a woman of many talents and passions: a fabulous card player who kept herself sharp with her daily crossword puzzles and a woman known for her great sense of fashion, sharp wit, and fantastic cooking. She is survived by her husband, their three sons, Larry, Steve and Rick, her daughter-in-law Kathleen, their four grandchildren, Chahine, Jacob, Rachel and Hunter, and three great-grandchildren, Sierra, Reed and Cody.
Services were held at Mount Nebo/Kendall Memorial Gardens. She was deeply loved and she will be deeply missed.
