Mrs. Bobbie Wray Lackey, 78, of Greensboro, died Friday, August 03, 2012 at the Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami, Florida.

Bobbie was born October 21, 1933 in Greensboro, the daughter of James L. Wray and Henrietta Lancaster Wray. She was a graduate of Greensboro High School and of the Baptist faith, attending Friendly Avenue Baptist Church for many years. Bobbie loved beach music and loved to shag dance. She also had a great love of flowers and nature. Most of all, Bobbie was a loving mother and grandmother. Bobbie retired from Carruthers and Roth in 1996 after being with the firm for 14 years. She was loved by all, clients and attorneys. She was the face of Carruthers and Roth.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jack H. Lackey.Surviving are her daughters, Deborah Lackey Raper and husband Bryant of Windermere, FL and Patricia Henderson-Boger and husband Keith of Miami, FL.; son, Jack Gregory Lackey and wife Marianna of Greensboro; grandchildren, Andy Roper, Shawn Roper, Elaine Raper Loftin, Chip Henderson, Ariel Lackey, Alex Lackey and Morgan Henderson; 3 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Tuesday, 5:00-6:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. A Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, 6:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel by Rev. Keith Uffman.
