Joan Moskin was born in Queens, NY, and attended Barnard College, when she married the love of her life, Irving Bolotin. Joan & Irving relocated from New York to Miami in 1955, where Joan built a full and accomplished life, painting, teaching music, playing tennis, and attending the University of Miami Law School in her 40’s. She graduated as a member of the Law Review, at the top of her class. She went on to practice appellate law, becoming a partner in the firm Cooper, Wolf and Bolotin. After her retirement from legal practice in 1997, Joan became involved in charity and philanthropic work, specifically supporting the arts and under-privileged women.
Joan was an avid reader and a quick wit. She was known for her intellect, her curiosity, her fierce devotion to her family, her creative spirit, and her generosity towards others. She will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held at the Riverside Gordon Funeral Home/Mt. Nebo Kendall Cemetery (5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 12 noon.
