Larry was born on November 25th, 1932 in Chicago, IL to his (late) parents Ann and Dr. Samuel Steinberg. He grew up in the Chicago area and after high school, married his high school sweetheart Judith whom he was married to for 58 years until her passing in 2011. He attended Purdue University and graduated with a degree in Pharmacy which was his profession throughout his adult life until he retired in 2017. He participated in his high school ROTC and after graduating, he enlisted in the Army as 2nd Lieutenant and served his time until he was honorably discharged.
Larry worked hard to provide for his family. He was intelligent, kind hearted and a very giving person. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle, and a very devoted grandfather. He loved telling jokes and was an amazing storyteller. Some of his hobbies were collection trains, traveling, camping, cooking and photography. He took his camera everywhere!
He is predeceased by his loving wife Judith, sister Francine Kauffman and daughter Lois Steinberg. He is survived by his sister and brother in law, Lenore and Phil Green, brother and sister in law Mitch and Jenny Steinberg, his son Phil and daughter in law Virginia Steinberg, daughter Vivian and son in law Russ Davis, grandsons Mitchell, Joshua, Derek and Brandon, his nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. We are especially grateful for Lenore (sister) and Cheryl (niece) for being there for him during his time of need.
