Lois Dildine passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 29, 1933, in Bloomfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Albert LaPoff and Frances LaPoff Blum.
Lois was a strong and independent woman who proudly owned and operated her own business for many years. She had a great sense of humor that stayed with her throughout her life and brought joy to those around her. No-nonsense yet deeply loving, Lois was resilient, spirited, and fiercely devoted to her family.
Later in life, Lois moved to Florida with her beloved husband, JW Dildine, to be closer to her mother, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing, making incredible Jewish and Italian food for her family, and, in her later years, spending time watching reality television and telenovelas on “Netflick.”
Above all, Lois was the cherished matriarch of her family. She took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and nothing brought her more happiness than seeing pictures of her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah, every day.
Lois is survived by her loving daughter, Eddi-Ann Rosen Freeman (Lewis); her grandchildren, Jaron Freeman and Abigail Evans (Jeremy); and her adored great-grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah Evans.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, JW Dildine; her daughter, Cindy Lasker; and her brother, Marvin LaPoff.
Lois will be remembered for her strength, humor, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. Though she is gone from our sight, she will live on forever in our hearts.
