Michael Lloyd Forman

Michael Lloyd Forman, 69, passed away on October 6, 2023, in Miami, Florida. He was born on July 18, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Miami at the age of 6.

Mike or "Mikey" as he was affectionately known, was a fun-loving individual who never knew a stranger. He had a great love for animals and was the best kitty "daddy" ever. He loved gardening, was a fantastic cook, and loved "tinkering" with anything automotive or mechanical related. He was well known for his "mobile party unit" on which he barbecued mounds of chicken, beef, and fish; hence the nickname of "Chicken Man". He barbecued for all kinds of events for his friends and family from 4th of July and Halloween holidays to birthdays, weddings, retirements, and super bowl parties. Mike was dedicated to his family and friends, always showing them love and support.

Mike is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate Kim, his nephew Howard, his niece Dena, and his cousins Alison and Susan. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn, his father Seymour, and his brothers Bob and Howard.

Mike was the proud owner of European Auto Specialists, Inc. for over 30 years. There he gained the nickname of "Floorboard". He was passionate about his work and dedicated to providing the best service to his customers. Right after Hurricane Andrew, Mike opened up the doors of his badly damaged auto shop with a generator to be of assistance to anyone in need. It just so happened that an Army group saw his American flag flying high and went to his shop with a Humvee in need of repair. Mike was able to fix the issue and later received a certificate in appreciation and recognition of his work. There was never any kind of vehicle that he could not repair. Upon his retirement, a very dear friend and long-time customer awarded him a "Doctorate In Moving Metal" plaque which he proudly displayed at home.

Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul now rest in peace.

A funeral service for Michael will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
