Miriam (Stern) Lawrence, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2011 in Miami, FL. Born in 1918 in Bronx, New York, Miriam moved to Miami in 1947 with her husband Edward Lawrence. In 1954 they established Lawrence Plumbing Supply where she worked as office manager until her retirement. Besides being an avid card player, her passions included the arts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Miriam’s husband Edward preceded her in death in 1997. She is survived by her son Joseph Lawrence and his wife Jill of Asheville, NC; daughter Karen Lawrence of Miami, FL; granddaughter Lynn Wachs and her husband Jonathan and great grandsons Oliver and Jacob, of Concord, MA; granddaughter Nicole Lawrence of Miami,FL; grandson Jason Gross and his wife Tish, of Miami, FL; and grandson Scott Gross of Dallas, TX.
Miriam will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she has touched. Services will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 11AM, Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel @ Mt. Nebo Kendall, 5900 SW 77th Avenue, Miami. (305) 274-0641.
