**Nathan Meltzer**
Born in Mexico City to Ukrainian & Polish parents, Nathan Meltzer lived a life of resilience, intelligence, and generosity. A successful entrepreneur, he made his mark in roof tiling with Cerámica Industrial Tecate and later in radiology clinics. But his real expertise? Finding the best taco stand—no matter the city, no matter the hour—and hosting legendary carne asadas.
Nathan wasn’t just a spice lover; he was in a league of his own. He didn’t order spicy food—he ordered plates of straight chili peppers, stunning chefs who couldn’t believe what they were witnessing. No one ever out-spiced him, though many tried (and instantly regretted it).
A genius to his classmates and colleagues, and “the doctor” to his family, Nathan was a source of wisdom, strength, and quick wit. He had an unmatched ability to bring people together, whether over a perfectly grilled steak or a late-night food hunt.
Despite a stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis, he defied the odds, living fully for over a decade. Nathan will be remembered for his brilliance, resilience, boundless love, and the simple joy of good food shared with great company.
A funeral service for Nathan will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
