Steven Howard Shere passed away peacefully in the home he built surrounded by his wife, his children and those he loved the most. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. A Lamed Vav Zaddik. A loving husband to Ruth. Adoring father of Melissa (Douglas), Samantha (Mason) and Jessica (David). A blessed Saba of Mollie, Remi, Aidan, Stella, Sidney, Baylyn, Bria and Meyer. Also survived by beloved Sister and Brother-in-law, Susan and Steven and Mother-in-law, Shirley and many adored nieces and nephews.
Prominent Miami Builder/Developer, #1 Outstanding Builder of the Year in Dade and a major force in developing South Dade. He was the first to employ women and the homeless on his construction sites and the first condominium builder in South Florida. Steven built Young Israel of Kendall in Hashems' name only. Steven cared for so many. He helped create Israeli Bonds for young families and was a founder of Bet Shira Congregation. Passionate about Israel and Judaism.
The familys' utmost gratitude to Sunday, Angel, Yolanda and all of the Doctors that cared for him. Most important to Steven was his family. More than anything he loved spending time with his wife, children, and his eight blessings, his grandchildren. A peaceful, giving, generous, loving soul. There are not enough words to describe him.
