Betty Kemp Meadows, 83, passed away May 13, 2016. She was born December 30, 1932 in Clyattville, Georgia and resided in Middleburg, Florida. Mrs. Betty loved working in her yard and it is a gardener's showplace. Betty worked over 30 years and retired from General Electric. Mrs. Meadows is survived by her brothers; Roy Kemp (Jeanette) and Jerry Kemp (Pat), son; Duke Rushing (Marta), daughter; Susan Alderton-Ross (Tom), step daughter; Beth Meadows Spiller, grandchildren; Sarah Rushing, Clint and Jennifer Alderton, and David and Matthew Spiller and great grandchildren; Madison Bell and Michael Owen Jr and cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; D. Clint Meadows, parents; William J. and Viva Mae Kemp, sisters; Peggy Jean and Sarah Frances Kemp and brothers; Billy and Robert Kemp. A gathering for family and friends will be held at the daughter's home, Susan Alderton-Ross, starting at 11:00 AM May 21, 2016. Inurnment will be 10:30 AM Monday, June 6, 2016 at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL. Please arrive 30 minutes early to the cemetery and line up in lane #1.
