Cathy Gail Loring, age 36, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021. Cathy was born January 28, 1985 in Jacksonville, Florida to Elizabeth Johnson and James Johnson. She was a teacher at Starke Elementary School. Cathy had a passion and love for teaching. She was also a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be deeply and sorely missed by her family, friends, and fellow teachers and students.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Bradley Loring; her children Dominic, Abbigail, and Elise Loring; her parents Elizabeth and James Johnson; sister, Debbie Burson; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Diana and Albert Loring; and sister-in-law, Crystal Carlow.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for everyone to please bring school or teacher supplies to the funeral home prior to or the evening of the visitation and donations will be designated to the school Cathy worked for. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fleming Island. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
