

Charles Eugene Dasher Sr. was born on January 18, 1937 in Valdosta, GA and returned to the Lord on March 6, 2015 after a prolonged illness at his home in Clay County, FL. Charles is survived by his wife of more than 49 years Linda Casper Dasher; two sons Charles E. Dasher, Jr. (Sharon), and Jonathan W. Dasher (Malissia); 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; two sisters Ollie McLeod (John) of Valdosta, GA and Viki Rouse (Bill) of Morristown, TN. Charles was a graduate of Valdosta State College and Incarnate Word University in Texas with a Masters in Microbiology; a former Air Force Airman 1st Class, Charles moved on to civilian government science work becoming the Civilian Supervisor for the Naval Air Station Jacksonville hospital laboratory specializing in microbiology, parasitology and serology. Upon retirement, Charles enjoyed fishing, gardening, music, his pets, spending time with family and friends and judging elementary school science fairs. Charles was a member of the Black Creek Church of Christ in Middleburg for many years, leaving behind a lifetime of love and memories for those who knew him best. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Haven Hospice who provided care for Charles through the final stages of his illness. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2015 from 6-8 PM, with funeral services and graveside on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Rd., Middleburg, FL 32068.
