Damon Joseph Simon, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born in Crowley, Louisiana. Damon was a very loyal and dedicated family man who loved spending time with his son Jace and took great care of the ones he loved. He developed an interest and passion for the electrical field at a very early age, following in the footsteps of his grandfather (Willis Meaux) and mother (Melissa Meaux). He excelled in this field, earning the position of Director of Electrical Construction at The QuestCom Group, Inc. He was an extremely hard worker and took immeasurable pride in his work earning a Master Electrician License in 4 different states. He was also the Co-Founder of The Simco Group, LLC. His dedication, drive and work ethic was unmatched.
Damon was a stubborn & determined free-spirit that held nothing back. He was rough around the edges, but so easy to love with the biggest heart and the brightest soul. He absolutely loved making others laugh, whether it be with a dirty joke or showing you his crawfish tattoo. He never met a stranger and gave the best of hugs. Damon never hesitated to help others and would give you the shirt off his back. He had a contagious smile and an infectious sense of humor. He knew how to be a breath of fresh air at just the right time and being in his presence felt like home.
We will miss his playful loving spirit and his absence will leave a void that can never be filled.
Damon was predeceased by his mother, Melissa Meaux and is survived by his father, Eddie Simon; son, Jace Simon; sister, Amber (Brian) Megowan; brothers, Brandon and Corey Simon; and a host of extended family and friends.
