Dolores “Dee” E. Jordan (81) was born in West Virginia on February 26, 1932. On January 30, 2014 the world lost a very special lady. She was a friend, co-worker, mentor, mom and grandma. She lived most of her adult life in Middleburg, Fl. She was always there as a shoulder to cry on or a word of advice (even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear) she always knew what was best. She volunteered at various schools in Duval and Clay county and was a girl scout leader for many years. She worked at Wilkerson elementary and junior high school for 17+ years, was a printer for Jacksonville Shipyards, owner/operator of “Busy Bee Print Shop” for several years, owned a ceramic shop and cake decorating business. She is predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Dainty Mari; husband of 21 ½ years, William E. Jordan; brothers, John E. Mari, William L. Mari and Paul R. Mari and sister-in-law, Sue Mari. Survivors include daughter, Debra Allen; sons, Steven Jordan and Jeffrey Jordan; grandchildren, William Sweat and Kaylie Sweat; son-in-law, Dan Allen; 2 sister-in-laws, Brenda Mari and Marilyn Mari and many nieces and nephews. Although we will miss her greatly and there will be an empty place in all of the hearts of those who knew “Dee”, Heaven gained a true Angel in every sense of the word. Mom/Grandma you will always be in our hearts and we know you are always watching over us “We love you”. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 6:30-8 PM at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Rd., Middleburg, Fl 32068. Graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, Gate 5 with Terry Griffis officiating. Please post tributes at www.hollyhillfunerals.com.
