Dwight Franklin Scott (Scotty), age 80, passed on April 4, 2026. He was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late John and Margaret Scott. Served his country proudly as a Naval Aviator (A-7), retiring from the US Navy after 20 years. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church.
Scotty was predeceased by his beautiful infant daughter, Amy DeAnn Scott. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 60 years, Sara Ann Golden Scott; sons: Jonathan (Stacy) Scott and Jason Scott; brothers: Frank (Sheila) Scott and Stephen Petorak; sister, Margaret (Bootsie) Petorak Kent; grandchildren: Conner Evan Scott, Caelan Everly Scott, and Ty Corbin Scott; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, April 16, 2026 at Advent Lutheran Church, 2156 Loch Rane Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Reception will be held after service at the church.
Burial with full military honors will be held 2 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL (Lane 1)
