Edward Joseph Miller, age 87, passed away on February 7, 2026 after a brief illness. Born in Watervliet, New York to the late Elias and Isabella Miller but grew up in Miami, Florida. He was an inventory manager for Eastern Airlines in Miami for many years and later worked as a sales associate. He always had an interest in achieving new goals and completed studies in business, home improvement, nursing (LPN) and sales. He was a longtime and truly dedicated Miami Hurricane fan and was so happy and proud to see the Canes in the National Championship game.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Susanne, as well as sons, Edward (Susannah) and Justin (Stephanie) grandson Ben and granddaughters, Evelyn and Josephine; stepdaughters Holly (William) and Jenni (Scott); step grandsons, Brennan (Alexandria), Cameron (Brittany), Austin (Savannah) and Joshua; step great grandson, Weston. He is also survived by various nephews, nieces and their families and also dear friends. He is predeceased by step daughter, MDPD Det. Amanda Haworth. His love for family and friends was most important to him and his quiet yet firm spirit with a dose of humor will be truly missed by all.
