Grandpa was always so funny, so welcoming, and so affectionate. I’ll never forget how much he cared for all of his children and especially his grandchildren. I know he’s in a better place and we will get to see him again real soon.

         I'm going to miss your great work ethic and the concern you exhibited to us all. I will miss your "smoochies" that you always gave me. You would always speak to me while I was working in the yard, telling me to get inside out of the sun, after you would come home from working in the sun yourself.  And especially , I'm going to miss "ok sugar" and the little hand squeeze you would give me.

I will never forget the feeling of your beard on my cheek as you kiss me goodbye or hello, or the time you let me try to ride Misty with little success. You were always warm and welcoming and while you were a man of few words, you never needed to say much to let me know that you loved me. See you again soon Grandpa. With love, Sarah Beth. 

Grandpa, you are loved and will not be forgotten. I won’t forget that you were the first person to show me how to ride a horse. I won’t forget our gentle walks through the field, with me sitting on Misty’s back. I won’t forget our game of collecting duck eggs. I won’t forget our explorations through the scary barn. Ed was a very generous and loving father-in-law and grandfather. He gave sweet kisses on the cheek and always had money in his pocket for the children. I remember his words at meal time "getcha some more"!  He never wanted anyone to go hungry.  You will be missed. Love ya , Kelley

I cherish the many happy memories that I have with my Paw Paw, like the many weekends I would spend at their house.  Riding with him on his lap while he cut the grass, even holding me as I fell asleep, or sitting with him and listening as he read me one my favorite dinosaur or train books.  Even as I got older, helping him get chores done around the house just so I could spend time with him.  He had a heart of gold, he was one of the best men I've ever known, and one of my biggest role models.  The world is a lesser place without him, and he will be sorely missed.  I love you Paw Paw.

Pawpaw, thank you so much for your sacrifice to serve us and our country. I will never forget all the times we sat in the garage and just talked. You never failed to make me laugh and smile. I love you so much and I’m going to miss you greatly.

             It comforts me to know that you are in our Father's Kingdom and we will meet again. You were the best father a son could ask for. You taught me so much. I will miss your pearls of wisdom, advice and humor. You had a heart of gold. Although no farewells were spoken, you had a journey to make. My tears will flow, laughter will be heard as well and I will forever hold you in my heart. I will never forget you. Until we meet again.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Donna Peavler; 2 sons: Lawrence (Kelley) Peavler and Jeffery (Jeanne) Peavler; a daughter, Sharon Dasher; 2 sisters: Irene Hicks and Helen Isham; a brother, J.B. Peavler; 6 grandchildren: Nick, Katie, Laura, Sarah, Trevor and Logan; 3 great-grandchildren: Ryan, Connor and Nathan.
