Ann was born on December 7, 1929 in Kingston, Ontario, to Robinson and Emma Urquhart (nee Macintosh). She married a handsome sailor, whom she had met and known for only 6 weeks, but knew from the first moment, that he was the man for her. Together they raised a family and were totally devoted to each other until his death. She was a beloved mother of 7 children, a grandmother of 15, with numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Luke Parish in Middleburg. A devout Catholic, who loved attending Mass and saying her rosary every night. Her life was truly a life of service to her family and friends, and especially the “love of her life,” William B. Kelly, who preceded her in death in 1989 after 38 years of marriage.
She loved to cook, bake and sew, and always kept a cookie jar full of cookies as well as apple pies, and raspberry jam tarts for her family to enjoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jean Marvell and a brother, Robert Urquhart. She is survived by one sister, Emma Koshinsky of Buffalo NY, and her seven children: John Kelly (Vicki), Nancy Potts (Fred), Jeanna Shrum (Billy Ray), William Kelly Jr. (Patty), James Kelly (Susan), Catherine Ferrell (Barry) and Robin Santiesteban (Beto).
Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Middleburg on March 6 2017, followed by interment at Holly Hills Memorial Gardens in Middleburg.
On behalf of our Mom, we would like to thank Community Hospice, for the love and support they provided to her and all of our family during these difficult months.
Now Mom, your work on earth is done. Now, good and faithful servant, Rest in Peace in the arms of your beloved husband and with God.
