

Frederick Victor Beaulieu Jr. passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 73. A beloved, brave, devoted, kind-hearted, loyal, selfless, and resilient man, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. After this introduction, he will be remembered as Fred, and by one of his well-known nicknames, “Trivia Fred,” for the joy he found in sharing knowledge and enjoying a good trivia challenge. Fred was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and was a resident of Michigan for most of his life. In recent years, Fred was a resident of Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Fred attended the University of Michigan Flint and later graduated from the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. He and his wife shared 53 years of marriage, having been married on May 27, 1972. Fred served in the United States Air Force and Michigan Air National Guard. Fred had a long career as a Medical Technologist in the healthcare industry, including many years as the Laboratory Manager at McKenzie Memorial Hospital in Sandusky, Michigan.
From childhood, Fred was fascinated by military aircraft and spent time building models with his friend Ralph. He enjoyed attending church and helped launch two new churches in the Flint area. He also started a small business selling inspirational and spiritual growth books. Fred was known for loving to make people laugh and for having a good sense of humor. He enjoyed action and sci-fi movies, with Star Trek among his favorites. In addition, he held many friendships from Atherton High School in Burton, Michigan, and in recent years often looked through school yearbooks with his wife.
Fred was preceded in death by Father Frederick Beaulieu, Sr.; Mother Vivian Beaulieu (Moyers); Sister Linda Hasulhaun and husband Roy; Sister Ruth Ann Keggs; Brother Mickey Hasley; Brother-in-law Denton Sorensen; Sister-in-law Sharon Daoust; Father-in-Law Frank Sorensen; Mother-in-Law Lois Sorensen; and numerous cousins.
Fred is survived by Wife Kay Beaulieu (Sorensen); Son Eric Beaulieu; Daughter in Law Karen Beaulieu; Grandchildren Elizabeth Beaulieu and Christian Beaulieu; Sister-in-Law Sandi Sorensen; many cousins, nephews and nieces; and many friends and former coworkers.
An inurnment to take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a future date.
