Janet Helen Coleman, 68, passed away on June 7, 2021 in Middleburg, FL. She was born in Buffalo, NY and retired from the Clay County School District as a Teacher’s Assistant to Special Needs Students. Janet was a Navy wife and supported her family selflessly during those times of deployment. She was the Coordinator for the Clay County Special Olympics and was a Puppy Raiser for K9 Companions that placed service animals throughout the country. Janet was predeceased by her parents and sister, Elaine Burkhard. She is survived by her loving husband, George A. Coleman; 2 sons: Heith (Yvonne) Coleman and James Coleman; daughter, Beth (David) Boyer; brother, Gerald (Sherry) Henry; 2 sisters: Suzanne Wills and Nancy Amato; 4 grandchildren: Chelsea (Brian) Staud, Courtney Boyer, Kaylie Boyer and Issac Coleman; and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, June 25th, 2021 at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL with Father Jaisemon Xaviour officiating. Burial will follow at 1 PM in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 in Lane 2.
