Mildred Eunice Padgett (Roberts), age 83 passed away January 1, 2018. She was a life long resident of Clay County, born in Green Cove Springs then moving to Middleburg where she met Charlie Padgett and married July 1, 1950. They had a simple life for 61 years but none less grand as love makes a special bond. Frequently they would be seen together walking Everett Avenue and Main Street hand in hand, Charlie with his white hat and Mildred with her visor. Mildred was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church. Predeceased by husband Charlie and is survived by 2 sons, Roger Padgett (Patty), Travis Padgett (Jan) ,2 daughters Velva Chapman (Dennis), Tina Jolley. Also survived by a brother C.L. Frisbee (Linda). She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg FL. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Friday January 5, 2018 at Padgett Cemetery, 4500 Hattie Nolan Rd, Middleburg, FL with Pastor Charlie Hunt of Black Pond Baptist Church officiating.
