Nancy Lee Windom, 70, was called home by her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 24, 2020, to play her flute in His heavenly band of angels. She was born May 27, 1950 in Key West, Florida, to the late Frank and Betty Preston. Nancy was a loving devoted wife to husband Richard Windom and nurturing mother to their three children: Anna Windom, Gayle Windom, and Ricky Windom, whom survive her. She also leaves behind five granddaughters: Chelsea Wink, Brittany Wink, Ravynn Wink, Rosemary Windom and Maggie Windom; two great-granddaughters: Delila Wink and Salem Wink; and three sisters: Becky Davis, Libby Maxwell and Charlie Bishop. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathy Attaway. Nancy had four passions in life: her family, her church- Faith Baptist Church of Palatka, her nursing career, and her love of music. She gave over 40 years to her nursing profession, first by graduating St. Luke's School of Nursing, then by working at Ed Frasier Memorial Hospital where she retired as supervisor to the surgical unit. Her love of music was demonstrated through her dedication to the Clay County Community Band, in which she played both the flute and piccolo for over 25 years. Nancy was an extraordinary woman, beloved by all who knew her and she will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2020 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL with visitation held 1 hour prior to service from 1-2 PM.
