Robert C Harding

He was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on April 8, 1934, the only son of Robert B. and Edna H. Harding. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1952 and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Harding received his Bachelor's Degree from Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana in 1959. His career included various administrative positions with Allstate Insurance Company, Indiana Blue Cross, United Way and Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center.

He resided in Jacksonville, FL for the past 35 years. He married Sada H. Hart in Jacksonville in 1991 in the Unity Church where they were members. Mrs. Harding survives him.

Others survivors include: two sons, Jim Harding (Carla) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Dave Harding (Sheila) of Indianapolis; a daughter Kathryn Cortright (Brian) of Wisconsin; two stepdaughters, Teri Wolbers (Greg) and Michelle Smith (Tim) both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Sally Stivender of Cincinnati and Edith Harding of Berkley, CA; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harding was preceded in death by his parents and an older sister, Marilyn H. Grush, of Crawfordsville.

A Memorial service will he held at the HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Rd. Middleburg, FL 32068 at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 24, 2013 with Rev. Donald H. Dinwiddie officiating. Inurnment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
